By road, Dapoli can be reached from Pune in three different ways via Khandala, Bhor or Mulshi. To reach Dapoli from Pune via Khandala travel through Mumbai Pune Expressway and take exit at Khopoli. From Khopoli head towards Pali – Kolad – Mangaon – Mandargad – Dapoli.
Distance for Pune as well as Mumbai, both is appox 200 kms. Khed on the Konkan railway is the nearest railway station to Anjarle beach and distance from Khed is 50 kms.

If you are travelling Sindhudurg district, you must visit Malvan for it’s famous Bamboo restaurant if you want to have traditional konkani food. The restaurant is always full, as the people comes here from all the places to have it’s lip smacking worthy food. Sometimes you need to wait for 5 minutes to get a table which is not that trouble.
All kind of Sea-food is available in Bamboo restaurant and they serves a large glass of Solkadhi along with it. Food thalis available here starting from Rs.150 to Rs.500 for nonveg and Rs.100 for Veg thali.
What are the Best Places to Visit in Konkan Coast?
If you are starting your journey on konkan coastal route then Ganpatipule Temple is must visit place for tourists. Temple is famous for its frame by being in front of beautiful ganpatipule beach which is very clean.
Temple is surrounded by a beautiful circumnavigation path covered with pores ‘Jaambhaa’ red stone with shade of the trees on both sides and glimpses of the sea.
The abode of Ganesha at Ganpatipule is Swayambhoo! Swayambhoo deities are the parts of this eternal nature. They need not to be sculpted or carved, they are born of nature itself. The temple was constructed 500 years back. The new structure was based on the ancient Indian architecture of temples.
To give a feel of being carved in a single rock, this construction has taken place in special stone-Agra Red.
Aare-ware beach on Konkan Coast
From Ganpatipule temple, if you move towards ratnagiri on konkan coastal route, after 12 kilometers you will find a breathtaking beach which is none other than Aare-ware Beach.
Story behind the name of this beach is a geological wonder in itself, the two sides of the same mountain, the Aare and Ware due to which a twin beach were formed ages ago due to the convergence of the mountain into the ocean.
Beach is very clean, full of blue water and white sand. While crossing this aare-ware beach, you must take a stop on bridge from where one can get a complete view of this amazing beach from the center of the bridge. Point is perfect for the photo session of this beautiful konkni nature.
Boat rides are also available here in reasonable costs starting from Rs.300 to Rs.600 person.
One of the prettiest and most secluded beaches in konkan is Bhogwe beach which is endowed with frothy weaves and sparkling silver sand. Bhogwe beach is also famous for it’s blue flag certification which indicates it is full safe for water creatures and tourists to visit there.
Beach is located in sindhudurg district and a distance of 35 km away from vengurla and 28 km from kudal.
On the way you will get to see Chipi Airport also known as Sindhudurg Airport is an airport at Chipi-Parule. Commercial flights are expected to start soon over there.
Village Bhogwe has another attraction of unification point known as Sangam where sea meets the river named Karli. One of the attraction of Bhogwe beach is glimpse of Dolphins in morning time.
One coast of this beach is covered with rocks where you can sit and enjoy beautiful sunset or sunrise and on another side, you will see a clean stretch of bhogwe beach which is perfect place for nature photography as it is surrounded by coconut trees.
How to reach Bhogwe Beach?
You can go to bhogwe by bus or cab. Kudal and Panji are the nearest railway station to reach this place. International airport Dabolim, Goa is the nearest airport to reach bhogve.
Which is the famous temple in Malvan?
Jai Ganesh Mandir
Malvan’s Jai Ganesh temple is famous for its religious significance and architecture. It was built by an astrologer and the creator of “Kalnirnay” calendar, Jayantrao Salgaonkar.
The stunning shrine, painted in white and gold houses a divine gold idol of Lord Ganesha along with his consorts Riddhi and Siddhi. Architecture of the temple is creative with the two elephants standing along side the entrances and the dome wall that have idols of the Ganesha in eight different positions and the floor with colourful pietra dura art.
Best time to visit
Ganesh Jayanti, celebrated on the 4th day of Magh month (Jan to Feb), when the anniversary of this temple is celebrated with various activities considers as a best time to visit this temple. You can also visit on Makar Sankranti, as per locals at that time one can see the direct sunlight falling on the foot of the idol.
