Well the soul of Konkan which is none other than Devbaugh and Tarkarli Beach with Malvan is all about tall Coconut Trees, beautiful Temples, amazing Beaches and Konkani Nonveg Food. Sharing our complete day here with you, how we spent it well in between the beauty of this god gifted nature.
Too exhausted we slept for a long time and were unable to catch the sunrise but that was okay as we were going to stay at the same place for the next day.
The place where we stayed was peaceful and homey with the dozens of the palms trees in the courtyard.
The tall graceful palm trees were adding beauty to the place where we spotted the Indian Paradise Flycatcher. The Indian paradise flycatcher is a beautiful medium sized bird which is not rare to encounter, but a very challenging bird to photograph due to their quick movements.
We took the breakfast.. We had Ghavane which is the thin rice roti with the green mint and coconut chutney which was delicious and after breakfast we were ready for visiting the places
We started with tiny beautiful rooftop temple which was just behind our homestay, it was very silent and calm surrounded by palm trees. We got lots of positive energy over there to start our day with more enthusiasm.
There we got to see this beautiful black cat chilling alone inside temple.
From there we moved on towards Malvan where, we visited to Jai Ganesh Mandir which was 9 kms from our homestay and it was built by an astrologer and the creator of “Kalnirnay” calendar, Jayantrao Salgaonkar.
The stunning shrine, painted in white and gold houses a divine gold idol of Lord Ganesha along with his consorts Riddhi and Siddhi. Architecture of the temple is creative with the two elephants standing along side the entrances and the dome wall with various idols of lord ganesha and the floor with colourful pietra dura art.
After this soothing experience and peaceful afternoon, we had our lunch and moved towards some adventure activities in tarkarli.
It was around 4 PM we went for the boating ride. There are many points to see which includes the Dolphin point where one if fortunate can get to see a group of dolphins but for which one needs to plan for the ride early by 7 am.
They have a boating package of Rs.1,200 in which they cover few points which includes Sangam, Datta Mandir, Crocodile mouth shape mountain, Seagull and finally Tsunami island where you get 1 Hour for all the water sports which includes Banana Ride, Speed Boat, Parasailing and much more adventure rides by the time your boat will wait for you to complete all the water sports at Tsunami point. The tsunami island which was formed during the disaster of 2004.
We were sailing into vast sea with palm trees around and cool breeze passing by gave us a refreshing feel. Our guide took the first stop at Devbagh sangam beach, where Karli backwaters meets the sea is also one of the most picturesque spots near Tarkarli.
It was pure clean beach with white sand. We waited there until the sunset and the sunset was jaw dropping. We even tried time lapsing the sunset.. the beautiful reflections of the sunset into the vast sea was like the sea is wearing the golden ornaments as it was totally sparkling golden water.
We had our dinner and went on Tarkarli beach which was behind our home stay and saw a beautiful Moonset with orange curve over there. Listened that soul touching waves sound and then got to see a group of Fishermen working together on their boats at night time.
Coming back to home stay, this time we went on to the terrace for sky gazing along with our bedsheets, we slept on the floor and we were just gazing at sky and we were blessed to see the geminid meteors along with shooting stars! No words to explain that night moment!
I was feeling the beauty of this charmed life..
